Overview
The SLVO-1000 (Video Optical Transceiver) series video optical terminal consists of a video optical transmitter and a video optical receiver. It is used to convert HD/SD-SDI audio-video inputs into single-mode fiber transmission. At the output end (i.e., the optical receiver end), it converts the signal into two channels of HD/SD-SDI distribution output. It also features an RS485 control interface for high-quality long-distance audio-video transmission. The device is characterized by high stability, high reliability, and ease of use. It primarily targets fields such as broadcasting, transportation, surveillance, security, industrial automation, power, customs, water conservancy, and banking.
Video optical terminal equipment not only transmits video signals but also audio signals, meaning that both video and audio from the scene can be transmitted to the control center. The most common example of using an optical terminal is surveillance at intersections. Typically, these cameras are several kilometers away from the control center, and optical terminals are used to transmit signals via optical cables. They are also widely used in broadcasting stations; generally, there are dozens of kilometers between a TV station and its transmission tower. Using optical terminals for transmitting video and audio not only reduces costs but also ensures high-quality signal transmission.
